This merit-based scholarship not only provides financial support but also opens doors to a future with Sprout Social.
Investing in Future Tech Leaders:
The Sprout Social UNCF Scholarship has been specifically developed to recognize and support African American college seniors who exemplify strong leadership skills and demonstrate a passion for computer science or software engineering. With an impressive one-time award of $11,000, this scholarship aims to empower and encourage deserving students to reach new heights in their academic and professional journeys.
An Exclusive Path to Success:
Selected scholarship recipients will not only receive the monetary award but also gain an exclusive opportunity to apply and interview for a full-time position at Sprout Social. Starting in the summer of 2024, these recipients will have the chance to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge software solutions. It’s a chance to make a lasting impact while embarking on a rewarding career in the tech industry.
Eligibility and Application Process:
To be eligible for the Sprout Social UNCF Scholarship, applicants must be current college juniors who will be enrolled full-time as seniors during the 2023-2024 academic year at any accredited 4-year institution. While applicants from all universities are welcome, priority consideration will be given to those attending Howard University, North Carolina A&T State University, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Aspiring students majoring in computer science, software engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
The application process is straightforward. Candidates are required to submit a current official or unofficial academic transcript, as well as a 1-page resume highlighting their activities, leadership roles, community involvement, awards, and proficiency in various programming languages. These application materials will be carefully reviewed by our team.
Paving the Way for Future Careers:
Beyond the scholarship itself, all applicants will have an incredible opportunity to apply and interview for a full-time role in our engineering rotation program, beginning in the summer of 2024. This program offers hands-on experience within our agile, cross-functional engineering team, providing exposure to different engineering disciplines, including back-end development, front-end development, site reliability engineering, and mobile development. It’s a chance to explore various facets of the industry and discover personal strengths and passions.
How to Get Started:
Applications for the Sprout Social UNCF Scholarship will open in October 2023. Our dedicated Sprout Social recruiting team will reach out to applicants to gain a deeper understanding of their background, interests, and motivations for this opportunity.
